This is especially true this summer as the district prepares to offer bus service to most elementary students for the first time. Unfortunately, much of the mail being sent by the district is being returned due to inaccurate address information, and we need your help to change that. An Arlington High School Graduate, I grew up in the Poughkeepsie area my whole life. I Graduated from Mount Saint Mary College in 2020 with a Bachelors in Nursing where I was part of the Nursing Honor Society and Deans List. I completed some of my clinical field work within the Poughkeepsie City School District during my time as a nursing student. I was placed at Morse Elementary where I spent half of the year shadowing the school nurse. It was during that experience that I knew school nursing was the route for me. I love working with children and always knew I wanted to do pediatric nursing, so being a school nurse was perfect! After graduating and passing my boards I found out there was an opening within the Poughkeepsie City School District…at Morse!
I have been working as the School Nurse for Morse (now renamed Truth) and summer school at Krieger since graduating college and I absolutely love it!
